The Enchantment of Khmer Civilization, Reviving an Ancient Monument Through Light and Sound
In the lower Northeastern region of Thailand, Surin Province is rich in ancient cultural heritage, especially Prasat Sikhoraphum, one of the most complete and beautiful Khmer stone temples in the Northeast. The temple has become a key venue for the annual Light and Sound Show, usually held in March, during the province’s peak tourist season.

The Charm of a Stone Temple Illuminated by Lights
On festival nights, colorful lights illuminate Prasat Sikhoraphum, revealing the intricate carvings on the ancient stone structures that are over 1,000 years old. The lighting brings the temple to life, as if transporting visitors back in time to the height of the Khmer civilization.
