Huai Saneng Reservoir is located in Chaniang Subdistrict, Mueang Surin District, Surin Province, approximately 5 kilometers from the city center. It is a large reservoir with beautiful scenery, refreshing breezes throughout the day, and is a popular destination for relaxation among local residents and visiting tourists alike.
It is called the “Sea of Surin”
Because it resembles a large lake with a peaceful and expansive atmosphere, visitors can enjoy swimming, relaxing along the dam embankment, or dining in the cool breeze at a leisurely pace. Especially during the Songkran Festival, the area attracts many visitors who come to take part in various activities.

On the dam crest stands a royal pavilion used to receive members of the Royal Family—such as Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, the Princess Mother, and other royals—during their visits to the local people. Visitors are permitted to view and walk around the surrounding area.

Visitors can relax and enjoy the scenery, take a leisurely walk along the dam crest, or go cycling and jogging on the dam pathway.
