At the heart of Ban Ta Klang Elephant Village in Surin Province, this Elephant Museum serves as a gateway to the world of elephants and the Kuy (or Suay) people, whose way of life has been deeply connected with elephants since ancient times.
Inside, the museum is divided into four main zones, presenting knowledge, beliefs, culture, and conservation in an engaging and informative way.

History and Way of Life of the Kuy (Chao Kui) People
This zone tells the story of the relationship between the Kuy people and elephants, including traditional rituals such as wild elephant capturing and the San Don Ta ceremony. It also features a simulated village setting and photo spots that allow visitors to immerse themselves in and explore history interactively.

Prehistoric Elephants
It presents information on more than nine types of elephants from the past, including the rare four-tusked elephant, through large-scale animated models with sound effects and projector screens that enhance the learning experience.
Founders and Elephant Rescue Zone
This zone presents the story of elephant rescue projects that help elephants previously subjected to heavy labor or chaining. It highlights the processes of care and rehabilitation, collaboration among various organizations, and the positive impact these efforts have had on the lives of elephants.
Rotating Art Gallery Zone
It showcases works by a diverse range of contemporary and local artists, along with elephant-themed souvenirs. This zone serves as a space for learning and for fostering creativity and artistic inspiration.

Getting There / Transportation
The museum is located within Ban Ta Klang Elephant Village, Krapho Subdistrict, Tha Tum District, Surin Province.
From Surin city center, it is approximately 58 kilometers by car. Travel via Highway No. 214, then turn onto the road leading to the village. Clear signposts are provided along the route, and ample parking space is available.
